Road Safety Projects

Advanced transportation communication systems have been developed and implemented, providing valuable experience and laying a solid foundation for future advancements. These systems are underpinned by robust architectures that support seamless vehicle-to-infrastructure (V2I) and infrastructure-to-vehicle (I2V) communications. These architectures' design ensures optimal functionality and smooth integration across different components of the transportation ecosystem.

A key element in these systems is the operational deployment of Road Side Units (RSUs), which play a crucial role in real-time communication and data exchange between road infrastructure and vehicles. The effective management of RSUs is essential for ensuring consistent communication, enabling real-time monitoring of road conditions, and facilitating the efficient flow of information between vehicles and infrastructure. To achieve reliable connectivity, communication protocols such as ITS-G5, LTE, and BLE are employed, each contributing to the robustness and reliability of data transmission within the transportation system. Furthermore, the design of printed circuit boards (PCBs) for RSUs is optimized to support rigorous real-time monitoring and robust vehicular communication.

Pilot tests, which include the installation of these RSUs, are essential for validating the technology's functionality and assessing its impact on road safety and traffic management. These tests provide critical insights that inform future deployments and refinements of the technology, ensuring that it meets the necessary standards before full-scale implementation.

The comprehensive experience gained through these projects equips the company with a profound understanding of the integral components necessary for advancing Cooperative Intelligent Transportation Systems (C-ITS).
